A Welcome from President Patricia Watts
Welcome to the official website of African American Association of Sun Lakes.
As President, it is my absolute privilege to welcome you to our digital home and share a glimpse of the incredible work our team, volunteers accomplish every single day for our social benefit. This website is designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for you. I invite you to explore our latest updates and upcoming events.
Our mission and objective at AAASL has always been clear: to bring together, in a spirit of fellowship, a group of individuals residing in Sun Lakes, Arizona and within a 100 mile radius of Sun Lakes who share similar interest, seek recreation, social interaction, and who will function within the guidelines of the Association.
In today’s rapidly changing world, that mission is more critical than ever. Thanks to the unwavering generosity of our members, this past year we were able to welcome back over 80 members in our organization. We have had game nights, jazz in the park, Christmas Gala, a welcome back potluck, and picnic in the park and we are looking to expand and offer some traveling in this scenic State of Arizona, visit a Black museum, and /or visit a Black own Art Gallery. But our work is far from finished.
As we look toward the future, we are expanding our focus to address social needs of our community. Whether you are here to seek support, explore volunteer opportunities, or make a financial contribution, please know that you are a vital part of our journey.
I encourage you to explore our website, learn more about our upcoming initiatives or activities, and find a way to get involved.
Thank you for your continued membership and for standing with us as we build a stronger, brighter social future together.
Warm regards,
Patricia A. Watts, President
